How many degrees does each spoke represent?

Our standard layout uses 8 spokes at 45° each — enough for most plotting needs without cluttering the page.

Can I use this for compass bearings instead of math angles?

Yes — the grid itself doesn't care about your angle convention, just relabel the spokes to match whatever reference direction you're using.
